We Are The Video Makers (Promo Video)
This video is part of an integrated marketing campaign by The Flavor Group for a promotional partnership between SanDisk and Tiësto. This video was shown to worldwide audience moments before Tiësto stepped onstage at each venue during his world tour. The goal for the video was twofold. First, the video needed to inform Tiësto fans about an opportunity to download five exclusive Tiësto songs by purchasing a SanDisk microSD card. Then, the video needed to introduce the second aspect of the promotion. One of the exclusive songs downloaded would become the next Tiësto music video – a music video shot entirely by the many thousands of concertgoers along Tiësto's world tour. To create a simple step-by-step instructional video would have been easy, but this video needed to excite thousands of concertgoers anticipating the start of a Tiësto show without forcing them to watch a 60-sec commercial. Since this video was to be projected on an enormous LED screen above the stage, our solution was to minimize branding and create more of a movie trailer rather than a commercial. To accomplish this, we combined powerful imagery with some big time audio. The campaign was a huge success.
