This video is part of a marketing campaign by The Compound for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Following the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, the goal for the commercial was to remind viewers of historic oil spills while pressuring lawmakers to pass clean energy and climate legislation. Using a combination of video and still imagery, The Compound asked us to give this commercial a minimal stylistic treatment that effectively combined these elements.
